This is Furanda. She has been happily adopted by Buffy Kirby. Furnanda was created from a recycled fur coat and is over 24″ tall. Her muzzle area is needle felted and her teeth and claws are hand sculpted. She is an original design by ….me.

This has been an exciting year for me. I am very happy to share my news that I have won Three British Bear Awards. “Chocolate Thunder” won First Place in the large undressed bear category. “Snow Bear Princess” won First Place in the groups-of-bears category, and Second place in the Artist of the Year category. Both bears are pictured in the post below this one.

Hello. I am very excited to be able to blog and share news with you all. This is very new to me and I will try to keep this updated with any new happenings. I will start by posting a photo of the cover of Teddy Bear Review magazine, Feb 2007 issue with my bear, Little Red Riding Hood.

This is the first time I have ever had my work on a full cover and it’s is wonderful feeling and such a honor.
Feel free to send me comments and I venture into this new internet world of blogging. Thank you. Judi
